The Skyblue BSPT was designed from the outset to fulfil the role of the FPTD as set out in the ATR Operational Suitability Document. This document gives an example syllabus for initial the ATR Glass Cockpit type rating which shows integration of the device into the ground school phase.
The new Skyblue Theoretical Knowledge course follows this philosophy, ensuring knowledge of systems and procedures is fully embedded prior to progression to simulator teaching phase.
In addition, the course takes advantage of the realistic cockpit environment provided by the BSPT to ensure that valuable Full Flight Simulator time can be saved later in the course.
